NATIONAL HIGH POINTS
FOR THE YEAR 2014/2015
National High Points is combination of 4 shows.
You are competing for High Points against other members of SPPHA across Australia.
At the end of the financial year Points are Tallied and if you are placed you will be awarded a Sash.
To Qualify for Led Section any horse can enter, however to qualify for the Ridden Section Only OPEN
horses can. This is because SA are the only state that have WALK/TROT Horses.

State High Points 2014/15
If you are involved in any competitive events with your Standardbred, then you may be eligible for the end of year awards. Simply complete a performance card for each event you attend and get the judge /steward / SPPHASA committee member to sign the form on the day of competition.
Points for the year are collated from events commencing 1st June – 31st May.

You will need to keep photocopies of your submitted forms – to confirm the points tally at the end of the year.
You may also wish to keep a spreadsheet containing the details of each event.
Completed cards must be in the hands of the points secretary within 21 days of the event. Incomplete forms will be returned.

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: If I take my Standy to a show, and I compete in two different rings, am I eligible for two attendance points?
A: No, you only qualify for one set of attendance points, since it is the same show.
Q: If I compete at a show / event that spans over two days, do I qualify for two lots of attendance points?
Q: If someone else competes my horse for me, will the total points go towards the end of the year awards?
A: The points will go towards the ‘combination’. If two or more people are competing with the same horse they will go towards the end of year awards separately. The points will not be combined. Only one set of attendance points will be awarded for multiple people competing the same horse on the one day.
